The Molenbeek flows into the Park of Boom here and flows together with the Bosbeek. At the end of the park it dives under the A12. At boom station it ends in the Rupel. Because both streams caused flooding in the past, the province of Antwerp planned some interventions, such as the Molenbeekse Plassen flood zone in Rumst.
