Beautiful walk (approximately 90% unpaved) through the forests of Halse. This hike consists of two loops of 6 km, which are perfect for sharing.
The Fort of Oelegem has a trapezoidal structure, surrounded by a 40-50 m wide moat. The area covered about 20 hectares. The fort is a so-called first-order fort (just like Königshooikt) with better armament and firepower than second-order forts (such as Breendonk, Broechem, Ertbrand, etc.).
