Via Somme-Leuze 2 - yellow

There are 4 signposted MTB routes in Somme-Leuze, all of which start at Heure.

This route, yellow, is good for 12 km and 170 hm.

The other routes are 9 km/160 m altitude (blue) , 20 km/333 m altitude (red) and 26 km/456 m altitude (green).

A combination of course 3 and 1 , where you switch from course 3 to course 1 at the Drêve de Waillet to continue course 3 on the return, is 29km/ 500hm .

The course starts in the parking lot near the Heure church.

We start with a one-kilometer climb, first on asphalt, but then switch to singletrack. We reach the top of a work of art by Les Sentiers d'Art: Le chemin des 4 lunes After a flat section, a dirt descent begins in Les Vennes up to the Le Bouchet stream, where we return to asphalt. Now it's 4 km uphill. Shortly before Baillonville we turn right onto a dirt road. After a left and a right turn we reach the Avenida de Waillet, then we reach the highest point of the promenade in the Bois d'Heure .

Here we turn right to make a good descent to the Rau du Fond de la Croix. Short ups and downs based on a work by Les Sentiers d'Art: Bourgeons.

The path is now paved again, we turn right and continue descending to the starting point.
