At the beginning of the walk, you discover a series of small waterfalls cascading down from the hill. They are called ‘crons’ and this means in Gaume tufa deposits, originating from springs with calcium-rich water. The site is beautiful: the small valley is crisscrossed with streams of crystal-clear water. Flora and fauna contain rare and endangered species. The biodiversity of Gaume is endless… Streams and ponds splash the greenery of the vast beech forest with blue. And then the nature reserve of the Laclaireau valley opens up before you.
