Beware this walk begins with a real climb. You start from the center of Martelange to climb up to the great Forest of Anlier. A great effort is required, but you will soon marvel at the richness of this forest. You will pass the former via Romanea, the road Tongeren – Trier (via Arlon) which used to be a very important traffic axis. It is actually a kind of predecessor of our National 4.
