The walk begins at the intersection between Lissenvijver and the Meerhoutsesteenweg. For those who like to follow hiking junction points (does not completely match the GPS route!!!): 38 - 21 - 22 - 62 - 25 - 3 - 2 - 12 - 94 - 93 - 90 - 91 - 92 - 86 - 89 - 88 - 34 - 33 - 32 - 31 --> direction 50, but 200 m L. towards 48 - 47 - 46 - 45 - 42 - 41 --> direction 38. Just south of Meerhout, you walk over a kilometer through somewhat populated areas. The rest of the walk is very "residential." From junction point 88, you walk through the land dune area of the Belse Heide. These parabolic dunes date back to the end of the Ice Age (about 12,000 years ago), when the Kempen was still a large unvegetated sandy area.
