The ponds of Munsterbos are a favorite area for marsh birds, such as the bluethroat and the water rail. The bittern comes here in winter to look for food. The tree pipit, meadow pipit, stonechat, and the viviparous lizard find the heather relics the ideal habitat. Wasp buzzard, hawk, buzzard, and hobby are breeding birds.
