This route is a beautiful section of the Via Scaldea. The Via Scaldea offers a unique pilgrimage route from Vlissingen to Saint-Quentin or further to Reims, where you follow the Scheldt through Flemish polders, historic towns, and the French countryside. Visit the pilgrimage church of Sint-Jacobs in Ghent. You end in Gavere at the beautiful market square.
