AzureThis walk takes you through a large forest area: the forest of the Mirwart estate. The middle course of the Lomme extends its meanders from south to north. Ideally located in the forest is the village of Mirwart. just south of it, in a small clearing, you find yourself in the village of Smuid. In the forest just west of it once existed a jacket pocket village or better a miniature hamlet: Marsolle, away from all the hustle and bustle. Yet, in the 16th century, the plague probably managed to kill me in this isolated place.
