A Grape Queen has not been elected in Overijse for several years now, but the Grape Race is still a much-loved part of the cycling calendar. Between the Flemish Cycling High Mass and the Walloon classics, it keeps the muscles nicely tense. Many teams like to come down to the village near the language border. Be warned: the Bingoal Bike Route is not for the faint-hearted. Long live steep slopes, cobblestones, and plug streets.
