Herbriggen, formerly also spelled Herbrigen, is a year-round inhabited, large scattered settlement in the municipality of St. Niklaus in the district of Visp, as well as a parish of the deanery of Visp in the Swiss canton of Valais.
Herbriggen is located 5.5 kilometers south of St. Niklaus village on the right bank of the Mattervispa at an altitude of 1260 m above sea level, below the Nieschfäd. The village core of Herbriggen consists almost entirely of old buildings and a church, with the northern part made up of agricultural buildings and the southern part consisting of the Hotel Bergfreund and residential buildings.
