König-Wilhelm-Gymnasium is a grammar school in Höxter, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is named after the Prussian king and later German Emperor Wilhelm I.
In 1865, the establishment of a Protestant grammar school was approved by the then cultural authorities, which led to Catholic circles in the city complaining, as there was no Catholic grammar school yet and they were rather in favour of a Catholic grammar school with a Protestant branch. In 1868, the name was given to its current official name, the König-Wilhelm-Gymnasium.
