The New Main Bridge Lohr is a 417-meter-long structure in Lohr am Main. The road bridge spans the Main River north of the old town and is part of the federal highway 2435, which leads from Lohr via Wiesenfeld to Karlstadt.
The post-tensioned concrete bridge, inaugurated in 1975, is curved in plan and elevation and has a continuous beam as its structural system in the longitudinal direction. The span lengths for the seven-span road bridge are 38.1 m + 70.0 m + 110.0 m + 80.0 m + 2 × 42.0 m + 35.0 m, resulting in a total span of 417.1 m. In the transverse direction, the 13.5 m wide superstructure is formed as a single-cell hollow box cross-section with a tapered construction height. In the middle of the field of the water opening, the construction height is 3.0 m, approximately half the height above the river piers. The prestressing consists of internal tendons in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
