Arnstein Castle, popularly known as Ottendorfer Raubschloß, is the ruin of a rocky castle that sits on the right side of the Kirnitzsch valley on the mountain of the same name. Today you can still find beam storage, stone stairs, a castle keep, stone clamps, beam storage for the old keep, the cistern, a cave with traces of processing and rock carvings.
The Arnstein is located in the Saxon hinterland of Switzerland, at the confluence of the Dorfbachgrund, which flows down from the Ottendorf district in the Kirnitzsch town of Sebnitz. In the immediate vicinity - located in the Kirnitzsch valley - are the former Neumannmühle and Buschmühle sawmills. The Arnstein Cave, which played an important role in the construction of the castle, is numbered 5051/SH-03 in the Saxon Cave Cadastre.
