The FFH area "Wälder bei Wyhlen" in Baden-Württemberg was registered in 2005 by the Government of Freiburg. With the regulation of the Government of Freiburg for the designation of areas of Community importance dated October 25, 2018, the protected area was established.
The 693-hectare protected area "Wälder bei Wyhlen" is located in the natural regions of Hochrheintal and Dinkelberg. It is entirely within the district of Lörrach in the municipalities of Inzlingen, Rheinfelden, and Grenzach-Wyhlen.
