Discover the diversity and beauty of the wide Börde landscape and the treasures of nature between historic villages along the Holunder cycle paths. The Holunder cycling network is connected in all directions to further regional and transregional cycle paths: in the north to the Elbe-Aller cycle path, in the west and southwest to the Aller cycle path, and in the south and east to the Börde cycle path. From Magdeburg, the Holunder cycling network can be reached via the district of Diesdorf both via the Börde cycle path (up to the turnoff to Niederndodeleben) and via the new cycle path along the state road L49 towards Niederndodeleben. The Holunder paths lead along a total of four routes: the small Holunder path around Niederndodeleben for 5.8 km, the medium 19.4 km long cycle path via Hohenwarsleben and Irxleben, and the large 59 km long Holunder cycle path with a shortcut variation via Mammendorf and Groß Santersleben (29.2 km). The routes mostly lead over well-developed rural paths, safe local streets, and cycle paths along state and federal roads.
