In a size of around 7.5 hectares, the Green Ring encloses the old town of Zittau instead of the former city wall like a green ribbon. In an entertaining way, the botanical and architectural treasures of this Zittau gem are explored during the walk. The park surrounds the historic city center of Zittau with botanical peculiarities, remarkable buildings including Fleischer Bastion with a floral clock, Church of the Holy Cross with the large Zittau Lenten Cloth, Building Trade School, Gerhart Hauptmann Theater, post office, neoclassical public baths, fountains, and playgrounds.
