Regensburg-Falkenstein-Radweg

The Regensburg-Falkenstein cycle route leads along former railroad lines from the Falkenstein foothills through the Vorderer Bayerischer Wald. On mostly unpaved roads, the cycle path leads from the UNESCO World Heritage city of Regensburg via Wenzenbach and Bernhardswald to Falkenstein with its imposing castle. Striking rock formations and romantic lakes line the route. Due to its gentle uphill and downhill sections, the Regensburg-Falkenstein cycle route is ideal for families and leisure cyclists. A special "treat" are the covered shelters along the route, which offer protection from heat and rain. The Regensburg-Falkenstein cycle path is integrated into the East Bavarian cycle path network and can therefore be combined for individual cycle tours in the Danube and Regental valleys. Our tip: In the opposite direction from Falkenstein to Regensburg, the cycle path is the perfect extension of the festival cycle path from Cham to Regensburg.
