The former collegiate church of Saint-Martin in Clamecy is an important Gothic building in Burgundy, with the first church attested as early as the 8th century. The collegiate monastery was founded in 1075 by Viscount Guy de Clamecy. At the beginning of the 13th century, a new building was started, using parts of a previous building from the 12th century. At the beginning of the 16th century, the west façade and the bell tower to the south followed.
