Cirque de Navacelles and Gorges de la Vis

A short but very varied cycling trip that initially takes you from the starting point along a narrow and quiet road up into the wooded valley of La Crenze to Montardier. Then the landscape changes and you cross part of the Cause de Blandas. Just south of Blandas you first get a breathtaking view in the Cirque de Navacelles, next cycle steeply downhill, cross the Vis at Navacelles, and begin a climb out of the canyon that becomes very steep towards the end. From Saint-Maurice-Navacelles you get a view of the equally spectacular Gorges de la Vis. You descend to the level of the river and follow it in a descending line to the starting point. The section of the trip from Saint-Maurice-Navacelles to Saint-Laurent-le Minier is on a road that may be busy during the touristic season.
