Did you know that the Karakoram Highway or KKH is the highest international road in the world? It connects China (Sinkiang) with Pakistan in the Karakoram Mountains, over the Khunjerab Pass at an estimated elevation of 4,850 meters. The road runs for 1,200 km from Kashgar, China to Havelian in the Abbottabad District of Pakistan. An extension of the road crosses the Grand Trunk Road at Hasan Abdal, west of Islamabad.
