I have made a number of short trips of 2 to 3 hours that can be done as half-day trips. This is Tour route 7.

This route starts and ends at Kanters restaurant on Steinweg 2, Moerdijk. The motor can also be refueled here. Please note: on Sundays, no use can be made of the Nederhemert ferry. You will need to continue/detour via Slijkwell/Well and then go to Bern to continue the route. (Maasdijk, Wellseindsedijk, and then Bergse Maasdijk)

On this motorcycle route, we use 3 ferries, as the name suggests. The first ferry is a small ferry over the Bergse Maas and is free. We then enter a quiet area in the Land van Altena. Quiet roads and little traffic. Here we find 2 castles: Kasteel Meeuwen and Slotje van Babyloniënbroek.

We then cross the Afgedamde Maas with the Wilhelminasluis Andel on the left. Shortly thereafter, we turn right towards Poederroijen. We ride over a beautiful dike along the Afgedamde Maas with stunning views and beautiful nature on both sides. We also pass the Veense Put. We are now riding through Bommelerwaard and make a small detour to get back to Maasdijk. Here, we cross the Afgedamde Maas at Nederhemert with the smallest ferry. This super small ferry is powered by an outboard motor, and the ferry operator is extremely friendly. You can only pay cash here. Further information on this can be found below. After the crossing, we arrive at kasteel Nederhemert. Shortly thereafter, we pass the impressive Waterkering "De Kromme Nol".

We are now following the Bergse Maas to Drongelen, where we take the large ferry across. This ferry is also free. We ride via Sprang-Kapelle towards Rijen and then take back roads again to Moerdijk.

From March 1 to November 1, we are open from 08:00 to 18:00. In other months, we operate by appointment, call at least 1 day in advance. 06-15616195. We are also open on Easter Monday, Whit Monday, and Ascension Day. Closed on Sunday, also closed on Easter Sunday and Whit Sunday.
