Discover all benefitsThe route starts at the church square of Swartbroek. 41% of the route is unpaved and goes over some gravel roads just south of Weert. The route then continues along a gravel road through the Kettingdijk nature reserve, and then you enter a bit into Belgium and cycle mainly on gravel roads through the Kreielerbos. The unpaved roads in Belgium are somewhat more weather-dependent in terms of bikeability than in the Dutch part. Having entered the Netherlands again, you cycle via gravel roads through the De Boberden nature reserve towards Stramproy. Then you cycle towards Haler and Ell (partly on gravel roads through agricultural landscape), passing by the KNMI measuring station in Ell. Just before Swartbroek, you cycle along an unpaved road next to the Laagbroek nature reserve and the Tungelroyse Beek.
