El cabo Malin , en la península de Inishowen, condado de Donegal, se le da normalmente al más septentrional de los cabos de la masa principal de Irlanda . De hecho, el punto más septentrional es realmente un cabo llamado Banba's Crown en la península de Inishowen alrededor de 2 km al noreste.[1] Banba fue una de las reinas míticas de Irlanda. Banba's Crown queda a alrededor de 16 km al norte del pueblo de Malin. El cabo Malin queda a una latitud de 55.38ºN.[2] Da su nombre a una estación de Shipping Forecast, en Malin. Hay una estación meteorológica en el cabo.
