El ayuntamiento de Oudenaarde fue construido en el siglo XVI y está diseñado en estilo gótico tardío brabanzón por el arquitecto Hendrik van Pede, maestro de obras de Bruselas. La torre campanario de 40 m de altura está coronada por la figura legendaria de Hanske de Krijger, una estatua de soldado de cobre de 2 m de altura con el estandarte de la ciudad. Contiene, por supuesto, una importante colección de verdures, pero también piezas de plata y pinturas de Adriaan Brouwer, el artista más famoso de Oudenaarde. El Servicio Municipal de Turismo (un pequeño museo en sí mismo) está ubicado en el Ayuntamiento.
