La famosa monja cantante, Soeur Sourire o Jeanne (Jeannine) Deckers, está enterrada, junto con su amiga (lesbiana) Annie Pécher, en el cementerio de Waver. Waver también fue su pueblo natal. Se hizo muy conocida con su canción "Dominique -nique -nique". La inscripción en la tumba dice J'ai vu voler son âme à travers les nuages de "Dominique". En 2009, Stijn Coninx hizo una película sobre su vida.
