Reet es una aldea en la provincia belga de Amberes y es una parte del municipio de Rumst. Reet era un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1977. El origen del nombre "Reet" no se puede determinar con certeza. Para empezar, el nombre Reet puede tener un origen celta, al igual que muchos otros nombres de la región como Kontich, Boom, Aartselaar y Rumst. Los pueblos germánicos que se establecieron allí a partir del siglo IV adoptaron los nombres celtas originales con su propio acento.
