En la cresta entre los dos pasos, una antigua carretera romana. Esta carretera aún lleva el nombre de Calzada Romana (Heirbaan). Esta cresta ofrece una vista de todo Bruselas (Atomium, estadio Rey Balduino) y la abadía de Grimbergen y, del otro lado, en un día claro, la torre de San Romualdo en Malinas, así como el puerto de Amberes.
