Una vez, la Galería Bortier en Bruselas fue un mecca de libros, ahora atrae a turistas hambrientos. Desde 1848, una decena de libreros han tenido su hogar en el complejo cubierto, construido en un estilo neo-renacentista con fachadas burdeos, ornamentaciones de madera y un techo de vidrio ondulante. La galería fue diseñada por Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar, también el arquitecto de las Galerías Saint-Hubert en el centro de la ciudad.
La Galería Bortier en Bruselas fue durante más de 150 años un referente en el mundo de los libros antiguos, hasta que la ciudad de Bruselas decidió transformarla en un ‘sitio de comida’ moderno.
