La zona de manantial del Koude Beek se encuentra en el municipio de Hove. Originalmente, el arroyo surgía de la iglesia de Hove, pero con el tiempo, el área de manantial se ha desplazado unos 100 metros hacia la proximidad del dominio del castillo Fruithout.
Esta área de espacio abierto, que consistía en campos y pastizales, se transformó en un parque paisajístico en 2017. Un proyecto al que se unieron los municipios de Hove y Boechout, la asociación sin fines de lucro Kempens Landschap y la provincia de Amberes. Se construyó, entre otras cosas, una gran charca para anfibios, el Koude Beek recibió un nuevo recorrido meandrante y se hicieron espacios para senderos y carriles bici. Se plantaron muchos árboles y arbustos, y para los niños se está creando una gran colina para jugar. Con esta transformación, el Koude Beek tiene más espacio, lo que reduce el riesgo de inundaciones río arriba.
