Otro animal que se beneficia de la recuperación de los humedales es la rana arbórea. Esta especie de anfibio alguna vez fue común en esta región rica en pantanos. En los años cincuenta y sesenta, se hizo silencio sobre esta peculiar ranita. Las importantes causas fueron el drenaje de los humedales y la limpieza de cañaverales, arbustos y charcas. Afortunadamente, ahora está en ascenso. La rana arbórea debe su nombre a las ventosas en sus patas que le permiten, a diferencia de otras especies de anfibios autóctonos, escalar en arbustos y árboles bajos.
