Si se hubieran seguido los planes originales, ahora no habrías pedalear por esta larga franja de verde. En los años 70, se quería construir una gran carretera aquí. Esta debía conectar la actual N9 desde Zellik con la De Smet de Naeyerlaan en Jette.
Sin embargo, en 1977, el municipio de Jette decidió en su lugar desarrollar un parque en las tierras pantanosas alrededor del Molenbeek. Hasta 1989, se trabajó en la conexión de diferentes espacios verdes para realizar este parque Rey Balduino.
CONSEJO: Desde este parque, la ruta continúa a lo largo del Albertpark hacia la Keizer Karellaan. ¡Ten cuidado al cruzar esta carretera concurrida!
