El bosque de dominio ha sido reconocido como 'Sitio de Gran Interés Biológico' (SGIB3207) por la Región Valona y se conecta a través del bosque privado Bois de Ligne con el bosque de Edingen. El área forestal está protegida a nivel europeo como parte del área Natura 2000 'Bois d'Enghien et de Silly' (BE32006). El bosque es un bosque atlántico de hayas y robles con alfombras de flores primaverales como anémona de bosque, jacinto silvestre, ajo silvestre, prímula de hoja delgada, flor de San Juan, oro de hoja dispersa y sotobosque de acebo. Alrededor de los arroyos de manantial de la Zulle (francés: Sille) se encuentra el lilio amarillo. En el Bois de Silly habitan, entre otros, el milano, el cernícalo, el corzo, el pico picapinos y la salamandra de fuego.
Lo llamamos simplemente Bois de Silly, pero en realidad son varios bosques que están conectados entre sí:
