En 1870, la Société du chemin de fer international de Malines à Terneuzen fundó una estación en Temse. El edificio constaba de tres fracciones: dos partes altas, situadas bajo un techo a dos aguas y de dos plantas, conectadas entre sí por un largo cuerpo central de nueve tramos.
El edificio actual de la estación data de 1956 y fue diseñado por el arquitecto P.E. Moreels. El edificio consta de una taquilla, oficinas de servicio y, hasta marzo de 2016, una casa de señales. Sin embargo, esta última fue asumida por Dendermonde en el marco del plan de concentración de casas de señales.
