El edificio del aeropuerto de Deurne se construyó entre 1929 y 1932. El arquitecto Stanislas Jasinsky se encargó del diseño en el estilo de la Nueva Objetividad. A la izquierda del edificio del aeropuerto se encuentra el Museo Stampe & Vertongen. Este acogedor museo gira completamente en torno a la aviación. Debe su nombre a Jean Stampe y Maurice Vertongen, los fundadores de una escuela de vuelo y una fábrica de aviones.
Además de un montón de objetos relacionados con la aviación, en el museo también encontrarás una bomba V1 y una simulación de las antiguas fábricas de aviones. Pero lo que realmente importa son, por supuesto, los aviones históricos que se exhiben en el museo.
