En esta ruta seguimos el arroyo Zwalm desde su tramo medio hasta su nacimiento. Empezamos en el extremo inferior de la Slijpstraat y seguimos el arroyo Zwalm lo más cerca posible. Para ello, abandonamos varias veces el Mijnwerkerspad, que discurre en paralelo al arroyo, para acercarnos aún más a él. El recorrido propiamente dicho por el arroyo Zwalm empieza en el tramo medio (bosque Cycling for Trees), al final de la mencionada Slijpstraat, y termina justo en el nacimiento, en Tenbergen (tramos superiores del Zwalm)...
Durante esta ruta en bicicleta pasamos cerca de dos de los cinco molinos del Zwalm: el Bostmolen, en Roborst, y el Boembekemolen, en Michelbeke...
