En esta ruta seguimos el arroyo Zwalm desde su curso medio hasta su nacimiento. Empezamos en el extremo inferior de Slijpstraat y seguimos el arroyo Zwalm tan de cerca como sea posible. Para ello, abandonamos en varias ocasiones el Mijnwerkerspad, que discurre en paralelo al arroyo Zwalm, para acercarnos aún más a él. El tramo propiamente dicho del arroyo Zwalm empieza en el curso medio (bosque Cycling for Trees), al final de la mencionada Slijpstraat, y termina en su nacimiento, junto a Tenbergen, al final de Okkerbeke (curso alto del Zwalm)...
Durante esta ruta pasamos cerca del molino Bostmolen, en Roborst, y del molino Boembekemolen, en Michelbeke, dos de los cinco molinos del Zwalm...
