Esta ruta atraviesa el paisaje ondulado de la región de Leie. El Leie, también conocido como el "Río Dorado", forma el eje central. En su día, se cultivaban grandes cantidades de lino de calidad a lo largo de este río. Antiguas granjas y fábricas en ruinas recuerdan la floreciente industria del lino. Cruzarás el paisaje con húmedos prados y filas de álamos cabrón a través de caminos de remolque y senderos peatonales. En tu camino de regreso, pasarás por el histórico pueblo fronterizo de Rekkem.
