A través del hermoso Meetjesland se extiende una línea de bunkers de la Primera Guerra Mundial, la 'Hollandstellung'. Los alemanes construyeron esta línea en 1917 por miedo a un ataque aliado desde los Países Bajos. Esta ruta en bicicleta pasa por un gran número de los 13 bunkers y muchos otros monumentos.
Esta ruta en bicicleta recorre Eeklo, Kaprijke y Evergem y te lleva por los caminos más hermosos del Meetjesland.
