La capilla de San Lucio se encuentra a aproximadamente 960 metros de altura, a unas 45 minutos a pie de la granja, en un sendero sobre la carretera de Schanfigg, en una gruta en la montaña Mittenberg, en la capital de los Grisones, Chur. Está bajo la protección de San Lucio de Chur y es propiedad del seminario sacerdotal San Lucio de la facultad de teología de Chur.
La primera mención documental de un lugar de culto en el sitio de la actual capilla data del 23 de marzo de 1385. La visita al lugar estaba asociada ese día con una indulgencia otorgada por el obispo de Chur, Juan II de Ehingen. La capilla en sí fue construida entre 1645 y 1660, después del final de las disputas de los Grisones.
