Falkenberg/Elster es una ciudad en el distrito de Elbe-Elster en Brandeburgo, aproximadamente a 90 km al sur de Berlín, 65 km al noreste de Leipzig y 80 km al oeste de Cottbus. Falkenberg adquirió mayor importancia a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX con el desarrollo de la estación de tren de Falkenberg como un nudo ferroviario en tres líneas principales y el lugar se convirtió en una ciudad ferroviaria.
A esto se añaden los asentamientos de Forsthaus Görnewitz, Kiebitz, Kleinrössen, Kölsa-Siedlung y Neuhof.
