Aichwald es un municipio en el distrito de Esslingen, a diez kilómetros de la ciudad de distrito de Esslingen y a 20 kilómetros de Stuttgart. Pertenece a la región de Stuttgart y a la metrópoli europea de Stuttgart.
Aichwald se encuentra en la meseta de Liashoch en la parte frontal de Schurwald entre el Remstal al norte y el Neckar o el Filstal al sur.
El municipio es el más al norte del distrito de Esslingen. La salida del municipio de Aichelberg en dirección a Weinstadt-Beutelsbach marca este punto más al norte del distrito.
