Burg bei Magdeburg es un municipio habitado por cerca de 24900 pobladores cerca al canal de Elba-Havel al noreste de Alemania, a 25 kilómetros al noreste de Magdeburg.[1] Es la capital del Distrito de Jerichower Land en el estado de Sajonia-Anhalt.
La villa es conocida por la arquitectura medieval de sus iglesias y torres. Debido a las numerosas construcciones de tipo torre, a la ciudad se le conoce localmente como la "Ciudad de las Torres". Como otras villas alemanas, Burg tiene su conexión con los poemas épicos de Rolando, la cual está demostrada en la forma de una estatua, la que fuera restaurada en 1999.
