El Paffelsberg es una montaña que se extiende al norte del Siebengebirge hacia el Ennert. Se encuentra al este del distrito de Bonn, Oberkassel, en la orilla derecha del Rin, cerca de la frontera de la ciudad con Königswinter. Con una altura de 195,3 m sobre el nivel del mar, el Paffelsberg es la elevación más alta de Bonn.
Al oeste, se encuentran las elevaciones de Rabenlay y Kuckstein, al sureste el Juffernberg y al sur el Dollendorfer Hardt, que domina la parte norte del Siebengebirge. El Paffelsberg está cubierto de bosques, al igual que las elevaciones circundantes, y está bajo protección natural. Es solo una altura suavemente pronunciada y se convierte en tierras abiertas al norte y al este, el campo “Auf den Dreizehn Morgen” al norte y el pueblo de Vinxel, que pertenece a Königswinter, al este.
