El Johannes-Scharrer-Gymnasium es un colegio municipal en Núremberg, que se encuentra muy cerca del castillo. La escuela fue nombrada en honor al empresario y segundo alcalde de Núremberg, Johannes Scharrer.
El Johannes-Scharrer-Gymnasium fue fundado en 1834 como escuela de comercio por iniciativa de su benefactor y posterior homónimo Johannes Scharrer. La denominación en honor a Scharrer se realizó recién en 1965. Antes, desde 1851 se llamaba Escuela Municipal de Comercio. Después de la fundación del Hans-Sachs-Gymnasium y debido al aumento de las tasas escolares, a principios del siglo XX, el número de estudiantes disminuyó, hasta que en 1910 la escuela fue incluso disuelta.
