Malstatt es un barrio en el distrito de Mitte de la capital del estado de Sarre, Saarbrücken. Allí viven alrededor de 29.500 personas; Malstatt es, por lo tanto, el segundo barrio más poblado después de St. Johann.
Hasta 1874, Malstatt era un municipio independiente. Posteriormente, Malstatt, junto con el vecino Burbach, perteneció a la ciudad de Malstatt-Burbach hasta que en 1909 se fusionó con Alt-Saarbrücken y St. Johann para formar la ciudad de Saarbrücken.
