El Madel es un afluente de la Werra de aproximadamente diez kilómetros de longitud, situado en el lado orográfico derecho en Turingia, Alemania.
Las fuentes del Madel se encuentran en el área urbana de Eisenach, en el Gramberg, justo al noroeste del barrio de Neukirchen. Al principio, el arroyo fluye hacia el oeste en el Trößelsgrund. Aquí estaba la aldea de Alt-Madelungen, que hoy es una despoblación. Después de otros dos kilómetros, se alcanza el límite del barrio Madelungen de Eisenach, donde el río gira hacia el suroeste, atravesando entre Madelungen y Krauthausen un área húmeda, donde por la izquierda desemboca el Etzenbach que viene del monte Moseberg de 364 m de altura.
