El Gymnasium Windthorst es un gimnasio en la ciudad del distrito de Emsland, Meppen. Actualmente, 1050 estudiantes asisten a esta escuela, de los cuales aproximadamente el 54% son niñas. Los estudiantes son enseñados por 90 profesores. El cuerpo docente incluye dos jefes de departamento que están involucrados en la formación de docentes y pasantes. Dos voluntarios del servicio federal apoyan la educación física.
