El Heidhofsee es un lago en el distrito Kirchhellen de Bottrop y con 4,8 hectáreas es el segundo más grande de la ciudad. Se formó a partir de la extracción de arenas de cuarzo. Desde 1973, el Heidhofsee junto con el Heidesee forman un área de recreo. El lago ofrece prados en su costa sur para uso turístico. Partes del lago son biotopos protegidos. El Heidhofsee y el Heidesee se utilizan para la pesca deportiva.
