La colina Rheinbaben se encuentra en Gladbeck, entre Ellinghorst y Bottrop-Boy, al sur de la A2. En la colina se depositaron desechos de la mina Rheinbaben. Tras el cierre de la mina en 1967, el terreno quedó en gran medida abandonado. Desde 2001 está designado como un área protegida y se ha acondicionado con senderos para pasear.
